COVID-19 Update

7/21/20

Dear Residents and Families:

Since our last communication, we have now taken the proactive step to test the remainder of our residents, regardless if they were displaying signs and symptoms of COVID-19.  As of right now we have 15 positive cases.  Out of the 15 positive, 7 are currently showing no signs or symptoms of the virus.

As with the Memory Care residents we tested previously, all families of residents with positive findings have been notified, and we continue to monitor the health of the individuals.  If needed, residents will be transferred to a higher level of care.  We currently have 2 individuals that are receiving care outside of our community, and the positive residents in our facility are in isolation.

We would continue to ask you to assist us in encouraging assisted living residents to stay in the community and when outside of their rooms, to wear masks, practice good social distancing and frequently wash/sanitize their hands.  As we stated in our previous communication, we have hand sanitizer everywhere for the community to use, and we can provide masks available to residents upon request.

We will continue to contact families if there is any change in the health condition of their loved one, whether COVID related or not.

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we face this challenge in our state and country as a whole.  As always, please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.

Sincerely,

Russell Sylvester
Executive Director
