COVID-19 Update

Dear Residents and Families,

Since our last communication, we have taken the proactive step to test all residents in Memory Care, regardless if they were displaying signs and symptoms of COVID-19.  Due to the difficulty of maintaining social distancing and use of masks by our residents with a dementia diagnosis, we are aware of the threat of viral spread in the unit.  As a result of this testing, we have learned we now have a total of 8 individuals that are positive for COVID-19 in Memory Care.

All families of residents with positive findings have been notified, and we continue to monitor the health of the individuals.  If needed, residents will be transferred to a higher level of care.  We currently have two individuals that are receiving care outside of our community, and the positive residents in our facility are in isolation.

We would also ask you to assist us in encouraging assisted living residents to stay in the community and when outside of their rooms, to wear masks, practice good social distancing and frequently wash/sanitize their hands.  We have hand sanitizer everywhere for the community to use. We can provide masks available to residents upon request. Most Assisted Living residents have masks but if they lose one, have them see someone at the front desk.

We will continue to contact families if there is any change in the health condition of their loved one, whether COVID related or not.

Please be patient as we face this ever changing challenge, work to rapidly adapt as the health expert guidance evolves as new things are learned about the virus, and as the circumstances in Arizona continue to alter.  As always, please reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for assistance.
